And, what might come to most people’s minds when they hear this is Napa Valley (especially if you’ve seen The Parent Trap as many times as I have, lol).

But, there’s one wine town about an hour and a half north of Napa called Healdsburg that I think offers a more unique wine experience… Google Maps Having lived in California for 12 years now, I have visited many notable wine-growing regions, but had never been to Healdsburg (which is part of Sonoma County) until a few months ago, when I got an invite to check out some of their wineries.

🍷 Krista Torres The city has a population of only about 11,800; but, it is home to over 100 wineries and tasting rooms . I was given a complimentary invite to see how a group of California wineries works together through the Overshine Collectiv e .

These include Martha Stoumen Wines , Reeve Wines , BloodRoot Wines , Idlewild Wines , Overshine Wines , and Comunità Wines . What fr caught my attention about the Overshine Collective was that, rather than competing, each winery s resources and supports one another while remaining independent. I also love their mission statement, which is to make solid wine approachable for people who enjoy a glass casually (not just wine the experts), while staying true to their values of sustainability, community, and diversity.

The viral nature of this story shows how quickly things can blow up these days.
